Portable Spray Booths for Woodworking & Finishing

Cleaner finishes, healthier air — lacquer, stain, and coating containment

Woodworking finishes — lacquer, stain, polyurethane, and specialty coatings — can produce hazardous VOCs and fine overspray that compromise air quality and worker health. Whether you run a small custom furniture shop or a cabinetry production facility, containing those fumes and overspray is essential for a safe, productive work environment.

The Mobile Work Station® provides a portable, self-contained spray booth that moves to your workpiece rather than the other way around. No ductwork, no building modifications, no fixed dedicated booth required. Just roll it into position, deploy the enclosure, and start finishing. The multi-stage filtration system captures overspray at 99.78% efficiency and includes activated carbon filters to remove VOCs and odors from lacquer, stain, and coating applications.

From individual craftspeople applying hand-rubbed finishes to production shops spraying cabinet runs, the Mobile Work Station® gives you a cleaner finish environment, healthier air, and the flexibility to spray wherever the work demands it. Common sized 20″ × 20″ filters keep operating costs low and replacement simple.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Mobile Work Station® is designed for spray finishing operations including lacquer, stain, polyurethane, varnish, and other wood coatings. The multi-stage filtration system includes activated carbon filters capture VOCs and odors from these finishes.

The Mobile Work Station® uses a multi-stage filtration approach: high-efficiency paint filters capture overspray and particulates, while activated granular charcoal and pleated carbon filters remove VOCs and odors. The standard filter set is lab-tested at 99.78% efficiency for paint overspray capture. Our conventional filter set is the best combination we have found for spray operations, while operation specific filters and alternative filter sets are available for dust collection, gluing, and staining operations.

No. The Mobile Work Station® uses a patented recirculation design — it filters and recirculates your shop’s existing air rather than exhausting it outside. This means no ductwork, no make-up air systems, and no building modifications. It also saves energy by keeping your already heated or cooled shop air inside.

The conventional filter set includes activated granular charcoal filters, pleated carbon filters, high-efficiency paint filters, link panel filters, and pre-filter filter saver skins. This combination handles lacquer, stain, and coating overspray as well as VOC removal. For sanding, gluing, and staining operations, alternative filter configurations are available. All filters are common sized 20″ × 20″ — no custom filters required.

The Mobile Work Station®’s curtained enclosure system provides a work area for most furniture pieces. Because the booth is portable, you can position it around the workpiece and move it from item to item rather than moving each piece to a fixed paint booth. For oversized pieces, the enclosure can be arranged to cover the area being finished while the rest of the piece extends beyond.
