Aircraft components take a beating from high speeds and extreme condition fluctuations, and regular maintenance and/or component replacement becomes necessary.  Add in aviation coatings being exposed to additional hazards such as deicing fluids, and the need for paint refinishing becomes apparent. Most Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facilities (MRO’s) have the need to perform occasional paint refinishing during their repairs, but do not have the painting volume to justify the expense or existing facility space to have a full aviation paint booth.
